LL.M. Degree Requirements Applicants for admission to the LL.M. program must have graduated from a recognized university and hold a law degree or and advanced degree in field other than law (such as business, management, accounting, economics, political science, and international relations). Non-native speakers of English must provide evidence of adequate ability in the language, through TOEFL or IELTS proficiency examination and/or by presentation of evidence of use of English in a professional capacity. Candidates for the LL.M. must complete 21 credits through a combination of residential sessions in Vienna, Warsaw and/or Budapest, and synchronous and asynchronous distance-learning courses. The 2022 residential sessions offer 3 credits in Warsaw, and 3 credits in Budapest. Eight distance-learning courses (15 credits in total) are available and three synchronous Zoom courses are available in summer 2022 Six credits must be completed in residence at one or more of the program venues. Each residential session concludes with examinations evaluated on an optional graded or pass/fail basis. If an examination is failed, the candidate may petition to retake the examination or repeat the course or take an alternate residential or online course.
