Professor David Zarski - Project Finance Professor Zarski is a member of Schuyler Roche Crisham in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to managing $25-billion-plus transactions, he has served as counsel to a wholly owned bank subsidiary of a major retailer in a public offering of a credit card receivable securitization exceeding $1-billion. He has served as principal structuring counsel to the United States branch of a large global bank and its associated commercial paper conduits in various transactions. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University and is a member of the Illinois Bar. Professor Joseph Matthews - International Arbitration Professor Matthews was a trial and appellate advocate for more than 42 years. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. Professor Matthews is a Fellow and Past-President of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the American Law Institute. Professor Matthews has taught international arbitration at the National University of Mongolia and the University of Dundee, Scotland. He has lectured in China, Dubai, Austria, Belfast, Ireland, Scotland, and the United States. He serves an adjunct professor at Florida International University School of Law. Professor Elizabeth Powers - Privacy and Data Protection Elizabeth Powers counsels Choate Hall Stewart’s private equity clients through the evaluation of the commercial viability of intellectual property portfolios and underlying technology of a fund’s potential investment or acquisition target. Drawing on her many years of experience as a patent attorney, she provides particular expertise in software (including SaaS and cloud-based services), biomedical, and emerging technologies. As a certified privacy professional She was a lecturer at the Santa Clara University School of Law and served as Professor of Practice at Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, teaching intellectual property and business law courses.
